Epworth Eastern
Epworth Freemasons
Epworth Rehabilitation

Wave was engaged to commence design of the second increment of the data warehouse to manage Work in Progress. Epworth HealthCare engaged Wave in 2006 to re-develop its data warehouse based on Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

The use of Enterprise Architect to design and assist in the development of the data warehouse provided benefits in predictable high quality development. Importantly, changes and enhancements could be introduced quickly providing agility in responding to business needs.

Enterprise Architect was not only used for database schema design and development but  automating the development process for the SSIS packages.

Enterprise Architect and SSIS Enhancement

January 2007

Wave has extended Enterprise Architect to automate the process of building Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services scripts. This innovation results in the production of high quality Extract, Transform and Load processes that are highly efficient and provide an agile environment to respond to changes in the data warehouse over time.

Enterprise Architect’s UML tools from Sparx Systems are extremely powerful and flexible software design tools.

The UML 2.1 powered, team-based modeling environment embraces the full software development life cycle. Enterprise Architect provides the foundation for the design and development of robust and scalable systems.

This innovation enhances Wave's ability to develop highly reliable data warehouses that can be adapted to business change quickly and efficiently.
