EA Assist

EA Assist is an extension to Enterprise Architect from Sparx Systems that accelerates the development of data warehouses in Microsoft SQL Server saving time and money. Wave EA Assist automates the process to develop Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages. A general rule of thumb is that eighty percent of data warehouse development is consumed in developing the Extract, Transform and Load process. Therfore, if this process can be automated then the savings are dramatic. Whilst Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services is a highly productive environment, it requires considerable expertise to code and ensure consistency and accuracy across all the packages required for a typical data warehouse environment. For instance, using the same error handling across packages may require tedious effort in cutting and pasting scripts. |
